The Nest (Coming Fall 2026) — Fountain Hills, Arizona
The Nest is Avery’s House’s residential program offering neurodivergent therapy and treatment for teens in Fountain Hills, Arizona. We help teens build coping skills, confidence, and stronger relationships in a calm, structured setting designed for how their brains work.
A program built for neurodivergent teens
Some teens do fine in a typical setting. Others need an environment designed for how they’re wired. That’s what The Nest is.
The Nest is a neurodivergent teen treatment program where teens live on-site and receive daily support, therapy, and skill-building. Our goal is not to “fix” your teen. It’s to support them, reduce overwhelm, and help them grow in ways that feel realistic.
Understanding your teen’s unique situation is the first step. We can help.
We welcome boys, girls, and LGBTQ+ youth into a safe, inclusive space.
Does your child has a harder time than other kids with emotions, friendships, or school?
Who The Nest is for?
Parents often ask: “Is this the right fit for my child?”
The Nest is designed for teens who may be neurodivergent and need more support with emotions, school, friendships, or daily life.
The Nest may be a good fit for teens with:
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Dyslexia and learning differences
- Sensory processing differences
- Co-occurring anxiety, depression, or trauma
No diagnosis required. Many families reach out while they’re still looking for answers. Not sure if your teen is neurodivergent? Start with our guide to understanding neurodivergent teens.
Why Neurodiversity-Affirming therapy matters
Some treatment programs focus on making teens appear “normal.” That can lead to masking, burnout, and lower self-esteem—especially for neurodivergent teens.
The Nest takes a different approach.
We respect neurodiversity and teach skills in ways that work for neurodivergent minds.
In practice, that means:
- We focus on understanding, not “fixing”
- We build self-advocacy and confidence
- We teach coping skills that fit your teen’s needs
- We support families so home life feels calmer and more connected
What makes The Nest different?
Many neurodivergent teens struggle not because they “won’t,” but because they’re overwhelmed. The Nest is built to reduce overwhelm and increase capacity.
What families often notice about The Nest:
- Small groups for more personal attention
- Predictable routines that reduce stress
- Skills-first care that’s practical and repeatable
- Family involvement so progress continues at home
- A calmer environment designed for regulation

What teens do in the Nest Program
n The Nest, teens don’t just talk about change—they practice it. Each week includes therapy, real-life skill building, and supportive routines designed for neurodivergent teens.
Individual Therapy
- Your teen meets one-on-one with a consistent therapist for neurodivergent therapy tailored to how they think and communicate. Sessions focus on coping skills, emotional regulation, and confidence.
Family & Parent Support
- Weekly family sessions help reduce conflict and improve communication at home. Parents learn practical tools to support their teen, set healthy boundaries, and keep progress going after treatment.
Group Therapy
- Small groups help teens practice real-life skills with peers who understand them. Teens build coping strategies, social confidence, and communication tools in a supportive setting—not a one-size-fits-all classroom.
